Pregnant women who lack vitamin D are likely to undergo a caesarean section, according to new research. During the study conducted at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center, were checked vitamin D levels of pregnant women.

The reason for the problems that arise during labor in pregnant those with low levels of vitamin D is linked to lack of muscle strength.

A total of 253 women participated in the survey, within these 17 percent had undergone a Caesarean section. The 28 percent of women with low vitamin D levels resorted to surgical care, compared with 14 percent of women with high levels of vitamin.

There are other studies showing the link between vitamin D and risk of death from cancer, heart disease and diabetes.

Vitamin D is the sunshine vitamin, it can not carry some, and if you are pregnant there would be plenty you or your baby.

The Parents also Gain Pregnancy Weight

It is very common, healthy and natural that during pregnancy the mother’s body to win some more kilos inevitable due to changes in the body and the fact that diets are modified during fetal development.

This is not for nothing new, and not surprising that the weight of an expectant mom rise more than strictly determined by the pregnancy. The opposite occurs with parents, in whom it is surprising that the weight increase during pregnancy of his partner, something that should not necessarily happen that way.

This conclusion is conducted by the company Onepoll in the UK, where it was found that parents gain an average of 6.35 pounds during the pregnancy of their partners.

The reasons are several. 20% said this was because their meals were more blunt, and 25% said that fattened to make their partners feel good for the weight gain, 41% said they had more snacks in the house, and the remaining 42 % said they spent more time eating away from home to spend as much time together before the birth.
