Acne is most common skin disorders. It’s a sad part of the lives of millions of people in the U.S. and millions more in other countries.
The good news that acne is a very “treat” disease. You can reduce the appearance that the minimum, thus reducing the scarring that often occur in severe cases of acne.
However, it is very important to discuss the myths surrounding acne and address them in the right way. This way we can avoid false treatment and unrealistic expectations.

Myth 1: Acne is caused by diet. This is perhaps the most widely used myth. Let’s make this clear now. Hundreds of studies were carried out and no one demonstrated that certain ingredients in the diet cause acne. no chocolate, no pizza, no chips. However, a recent study shows a link between milk consumption and occurrence of acne. Another suggested the relationship is between the consumption of high glycemic foods and acne (soft drinks, candy, etc.). This may also explain the absence of acne in non-Western countries.
